Become the essential link in our team at Samskip Multimodal, a leading provider of intermodal logistics solutions! In this role, you will be the primary contact for our high-care automotive clients, managing bookings, ensuring smooth transport operations, and overseeing performance reporting in close collaboration with our Sales, Customer Service, Rail Operations, and Trucking teams.
Responsibilities:
- Be part of an 8-member team responsible for the daily operational coordination of our rail transports, serving as the key contact for our automotive clients.
- Determine the optimal routing for shipments, keeping contractual obligations and client transit agreements in mind.
- Quickly identify and address operational deviations from agreed standards, implementing swift and suitable solutions.
- Monitor client demand forecasts and capacity planning, ensuring clear and proactive communication of any discrepancies both internally and externally.
- Manage and monitor commercial agreements with clients within your portfolio.
- Support Key Account Managers with specific accounts, overseeing performance reports, audits, and client-specific optimization projects.
Qualifications:
- A completed MBO level 4 education in a commercial or logistics-related field.
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
- A hands-on attitude: accurate, independent, and always solution focused.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with experience using MS Office, particularly Excel, and knowledge of reporting tools like PowerBI; familiarity with planning software or TMS systems is a plus.
