    Job Description

    A huge part of Samskip`s business is derived from global companies who are tendering their logistic needs. Tenders are a formal request for offering lanes with a defined validity and multiple lanes that are offered in a collective request for rates, meaning multiple simultaneous requests with comparable competition. Those processes are complex and need a central coordination to ensure full focus and high-quality and timely reply.

    Major Areas of Responsibility
    • Own the commercial part of the tender process
    • Ensure internal alignment on customer’s tender requirements
    • Ensure effective collaboration within the company to reply timely to tender requests with a high degree of quality
    • Informing trade/pricing about (upcoming) tenders and setting timelines and prerequisites
    • Following up with trade on multiple rounds and target setting
    • Knowledge about the full tender scope of Samskip
    Responsibilities
    • Collecting and preparing replies for RFI/RFQ data for new and incumbent customers, including interrogating trade/pricing
    • Align with legal and account manager on specific requirements/terms & conditions
    • Assemble package for complete upload
    • Following up on multiple rounds and target setting
    • Communicating and guarding awards versus real volume
    • Advising and informing trade/pricing about the (upcoming) tender and setting timelines and prerequisites
    • Following up on performance
    • Collaborate with the Agreement Maintenance Specialist to ensure awards are correctly reflected in the Samskip system.
    • Backing up the Corporate Sales Support function

    • High level of Samskip’s product understanding and how it derives value for our customer

    • HBO degree
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Advanced level of English, Dutch (nice to have)
