Job Overview:
As one of the largest transport companies in Europe, we arrange thousands of transports for our international customers every week. Fast and careful handling of cargo at all terminals is essential in this regard. Within the Terminal Operations department, we closely safeguard Samskip's position with the various terminal service providers, constantly monitoring terminal performance and cost development. Within our team we are now looking for an enterprising colleague who takes responsibility of below mentioned tasks. Do you have a professional, service-oriented attitude? Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Monitoring and Analysis:
Continuously monitor the West Europe Sea-terminal operations to:
:Safeguard the contractual agreed performance (land and seaside).
: Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Performance Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports on terminal performance metrics and present them to management. These reports help in making informed decisions and setting performance benchmarks.
- Process Optimization:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize cargo handling processes. This includes improving crane productivity and lowering the costs per unit handled. - Other:
- Implement sailing schedule changes in dialogue with Samskip’s Trade department and sea-terminals.
- Gain clear insight in the average costs per shipment of the WE-sea-terminals
- Assist Samskip’s claims department in terminal related claims.
Qualifications:
- Attitude: Positive and flexible
- Education: HBO level
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years working on a terminal
- Languages: Proficiency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
