    Drive revenue growth through collaboration and analysis

    As Field Sales Executive your core function is to manage a portfolio of new and existing customers within a defined geographic and/or product area. Your objective is to grow volumes and revenue in line with wider Samskip strategies. To achieve this you work with the UK Sales Team and apply the latest digital analysis tools. You also lead assigned development initiatives and projects as guided by your manager.
     

    To make all this happen you perform the following tasks:
     

    • Handle sales enquiries from new and existing customers, providing quotations and relevant information;
    • Actioning new business by ensuring its effective onboarding and start-up;
    • Relentlessly look for areas of cross and up-sell for your customer portfolio;
    • Monitor your own sales performance in support of the Regional Sales Manager and in the analysis of existing and potential business;
    • Actively propose and implement enhanced IT tools into the sales environment;
    • Work with colleagues to resolve any customer issues and addressing root cause.
       

    At all times you ensure that customer interaction is performed with the appropriate style, content and system use, following up in response to quotations, service and information requests etc in order to enhance the brand. You also interact with other Departments to ensure effective customer service and operations for new business wins, including the implementation of SOPs, credit requests etc.

    The core professional criteria are:
     

    • At least 5 years’ experience of selling transportation solutions in the freight industry;
    • The interactive and communication skills to work up and down (matrix) organizations;
    • Powerful communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Fluent written and spoken English, with any other languages an advantage;
    • The ability to travel within the UK and to our company HQ in Rotterdam.
