About the Role:
As a Forwarder Import/Export, you serve as a vital link between Samskip and our clients. Based in the Logistics Department, you are responsible for managing the end-to-end transportation process, from loading and shipping to final delivery, while ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. Your role is essential in providing high-quality, professional service to our customers and maintaining strong working relationships with shipping lines, overseas offices, and transport partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage LCL and FCL (dry and reefer) import and export shipments in cooperation with internal teams and external partners, in line with customer agreements.
• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the shipment process, including bookings, documentation, invoicing, and AMS/ISF/ACI declarations, following established procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate exchange of documentation and information with other departments.
• Anticipate and resolve potential transportation issues, providing proactive updates to all stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas offices, shipping lines, and carriers.
• Handle financial processes, including the preparation, verification, and invoicing of shipment files.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A relevant MBO or HBO degree in logistics, such as Manager Havenlogistiek (Port Logistics Manager).
• 2–5 years of experience in a comparable role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• A self-motivated, accurate, and process-oriented approach to work.
