    Job Description: 

    Like any larger transport company Samskip takes advantages of robust IT systems that specialise in certain domains. Some of which are being maintained and developed by 3rd party vendors while others are internal solutions. The team you will be a part of focuses on developing a Customer Portal (Service Web) who’s main purpose is to facilitate the communication between the company’s IT systems and combine their core features into a user-friendly web portal where customers (and employees) can perform all main actions necessary themselves, such as booking sea-freights, order container deliveries etc. 

    Today the web portal is immensely being relied on by Samskip’s customers and the development team strives for using mature, stable development frameworks, all to provide competitive software performance, eliminate the risk of software failure and ensure scalability for future developments. The team practices continuous development which enables an agile, modernized software environment where business needs can on an ongoing basis be solved swiftly. 

    For you to succeed you need to have a solid software engineering background, both in front- and back-end development. 

    Responsibilities: 
    • Maintaining and developing end-to-end fully scalable websites. 
    • Implementing and documenting stable web APIs which are relied on by both internal software teams and/or 3rd parties. 
    • Implementing professional web designs and deliver UIs that attract users. 
    • Dealing with ad-hoc requirements and / or issues with web products your team is responsible for. 
    Qualifications:
    • Degree in Computer Science or similar field
    • Proven work experience with object-oriented programming in a large-scale web application setup
    • Transport/Logistics industry experience is a plus
    • Excellent object-oriented programming skills
    • Knowledge of software security (JWT, HTTPS, authentication principles)
    • Good understanding of RESTful infrastructure
    • Knowledge of C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET
    • DevOps experience for Azure is a big plus
    • Good knowledge of ReactJS (Redux experience is a plus)
    • Knowledge of Angular and/or AngularJS is a plus
    • Knowledge of Oracle SQL and MSSQL
    • Excellent knowledge of Git
    • Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure and experience with CI/CD setup (Microsoft Azure is a plus)
    • Experience and willingness to work in an agile continuous development environment
    • Understanding of SCRUM/Kanban Agile methodology
    • Excellent command of spoken and written English
