Job Description:
As a People Advisor, you are the first point of contact for managers and employees within your assigned regions. You provide support on all People-related matters: from leave, absence and contracts to onboarding, performance, and offboarding.
You’ll work closely with your fellow People Advisor in Rotterdam while maintaining ownership of your own entities. You act as the eyes and ears of the organization: staying in touch with departments, conducting onboarding and exit check-ins, and identifying what can be improved.
Together with the Global People Business Partners, your manager, and the rest of the People team, you contribute to creating a better, more engaging workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Operational People Management:
- Manage the full employee life cycle: onboarding, changes, promotions, leave, offboarding and performance management.
- Prepare employment offers and manage the post-offer process, including contract creation, system setup, and onboarding coordination.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up to date employee records.
Employee Engagement:
- Provide support and guidance to employees on People-related queries and issues.
- Conduct onboarding and exit interviews, identifying trends and improvement areas.
- Prepare quarterly employee engagement survey reports, including actionable follow-ups.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Support and initiate engagement activities that foster a positive workplace culture
Absence Management:
- Be the first point of contact in case of (long term) absence.
- Manage absence administration and coordinate with the company doctor.
- Monitor and signal potential issues and act on them according to local laws and regulations.
People Systems Integration:
- Support the integration and optimization of HR systems and tools.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to streamline People processes through effective system integration.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
- Support the implementation of talent management strategies to nurture employee growth.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain People records and prepare reports as needed.
- Analyze People metrics to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role. Or the ability to quickly learn.
- Proven experience in HR systems integration and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in a dynamic work environment is essential.
