Our busy Iceland Service team is totally committed to delivering a great customer experience. The team already consists of 12 people and they look forward to welcoming a new colleague.

     

    You handle it all!

    Exporting to Iceland is an important and long-established part of Samskip’s business. That’s why we have a dedicated Iceland Service handling everything from A to Z. It’s diverse, challenging and exciting and it calls on you to perform a wide range of tasks.

     

    Those tasks include:

    • Answering incoming calls and emails efficiently;
    • Procurement of rates, offering rates to our customers or inside sales;
    • Transport planning of the pickup, booking into our systems and cross-checking cost against income;
    • Delivering on agreed customer service levels and handling any complaints;
    • Collaborating with internal teams or account manager to identify opportunities for your customers.

     

    At all times you ensure the highest level of integrity while dealing with customers, building valued relationships through positive interactions. And you always work as one team, supporting and backing up your colleagues when necessary.

    To be a successful Export Customer Services Coordinator you need to be disciplined, hard-working and able to handle stress. You also need to operate within our structured ways of working. But as you gain knowledge and experience we will expect you to take the lead. And we are always open to new ways of doing things, so if you see room for improvement we will review our structures and methods. In particular, digitalization is advancing rapidly and there might be the opportunity to take part in digital transformation projects.

     

    What makes you a good fit for the team? We are an informal, open, direct and hard working team that loves to have fun with each other and celebrate the successes we achieve together. Besides this we would like you to bring the following:  

     

    • Good written and verbal English language skills;
    • Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus;
    • A completed intermediate vocational education (MBO level 3 or 4)  with logistics training is a plus;
    • Some knowledge and experience in the logistics industry is a must;
    • The ability to work with Microsoft Office;
    • A positive and customer focused spirit.
