The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing all aspects of payroll processing for the company. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems and regulations. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in the upcoming payroll system migration, ensuring a smooth transition and continued accuracy and efficiency in payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing:
- Process and manage bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Handle payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
System Migration:
- Participate in the planning and execution of payroll system migration.
- Collaborate with IT and HR teams to ensure data integrity during the transition.
- Conduct system testing, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
- Provide training and support to staff on the new payroll system.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant legislation and internal policies.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within payroll operations.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll integration and operations.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting related to payroll expenses.
